Walters|This book is exactly what it says it is, short stories about castles. Though enjoyable, I felt like it lacked something. Maybe just a closing chapter tying it all together somehow would have helped. I would also have preferred photographs of the castles, rather than the authors sketches of portions thereof.|About the Author|Until his death in January 2000, Nigel Tranter was one of Scotland's most prolific author and specialised in Scottish historical fiction with over 100 novels written.
